Made of post-consumer plastic, the faux-wood roofed silo style is a lovely shade of woodland green accented by natural wood hues. The roof is hinged for filling seed into the clear hopper. This striking feeder weighs 9 lbs when filled. The feeder has a wrap-around perching area yielding plenty of feeding space and privacy for shy birds to feed opposite of more frisky species. Fill with any seed including no-mess shelled types. A &ldquo;pyramid&rdquo; cone sits on the bottom of the hopper filtering the seed towards the openings. When feeder runs low, there won&rsquo;t be any stragglers stuck to the bottom of the feeder &ndash; a prevalent issue in other hopper models.
